Reading & Saving PDF Files

Files published in portable document format (pdf) are read with the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader, available free of charge at www.adobe.com.

Once the Reader is installed on your machine, browsers can be configured to either:

• Display pdf files in browser windows (the reader is said to work as a "plug-in"), or
• Open new Reader windows and display pdfs there (the reader is said to work as a "helper application").
