IPCP Plus / MVS Specifications
Let Batch Jobs Open and Close CICS Files, Write to CICS Transactions
Issue CICS Commands from within Batch Jobs. IPCP Plus initiates CICS functions from batch, via simple JCL and command parameters.
Environment
IPCP Plus requires:
IBM’s z/OS, MVS, OS/390, VSE/SP, or VSE/ESA.
The following CICS facilities
(most CICS installations include them):
- Interval control
- Dynamic open/close
- Transient data
- Temporary storage
- Inquire/set function support in PPT
In MVS
- Requires CICS 1.7
- Does not require any special supervisor options.
- Distributed on tape in IEBCOPY format.
In VSE
- VSE/SP 4.1 or greater
- CICS/VS 1.7 or greater
- Library space of 1500 blocks (four 3380 cylinders)
- The distribution tape is in MSHP format.
