Maxback / VM Specifications
Operating System
MAXBACK/VM has been tested and proven for z/VM 3.1 and above.
SDS expects it will work just as well on earlier versions of VM, provided the systems have CMS utilities installed and can compile REXX code.
DASD Requirements
Maxback/VM operates with two minidisks:
One disk needs approximately 5 cylinders of 3390 DASD.
Requirements for the other disk vary with the size of the system you are backing up. A typical starting point is 200 cylinders of 3390 DASD.
