VIP is relatively quick and simple to install. An Agent and Server can typically be up and running in an hour.
During your free VIP product trial, SDS engineers are happy to travel to your shop to help with installating and learning to take full advantage of VIP.
All VIP customers enjoy nearly immediate access to some of the most responsive technical support in the computer industry. At your first call, you typically reach a top-level support engineer who resides in the same building as the product developers.
VIP Agents run on z/OS 1.6 or higher systems. For user access control they rely on z/OS security systems already in place. Users log on with their existing z/OS IDs and passwords. Once VIP’s common infrastructure is installed, it is simple to create any number of VIP Agents on multiple z/OS systems sharing the same DASD.
VIP Servers provide identical service from z/OS USS, Linux, Unix, zLinux, or Windows machines. Use whichever platform is most familiar and/or accessible to you.
Users access VIP monitoring data via standard desktop web browsers.
